Deep in the forest of El Hierro, in the Canary Islands, trees rise, twist, lean and transform.
Their silhouettes bear the memory of wind, time and the elements.
Sometimes solitary, sometimes intertwined, they form mysterious landscapes.
The tree ceases to be a mere element of the landscape and becomes a figure, almost a character, whose presence evokes, in turn, fragility, strength or a strange sense of otherness.
One photograph taken in Corsica joins this series, offering another variation on this vegetal presence, beyond places and borders.
These photographs invite us to look at trees differently: no longer simply as elements of nature, but as living forms, enigmatic presences that awaken the imagination.
